Social networks are an effective tool to measure the social thermometer, they are great to find out which are the day to day topics, which are the ones that are of interest to people, and also allows to easily monitor topics and to know the opinions of the audience in real time.

Communication professionals have seen how in recent years new technologies have revolutionized their way of working. This new era has brought with it not only new tools, but greater access to information, which has brought about remarkable changes in the way in which they carry out their work and the outcome of their work.

New technologies and social networks have provided a democratization of information. Now, anyone can open a blog of fashion, news, recipes, really, any topic of interest to society. Anyone can have social networks and use them as a window to the world to transmit information.

News is transmitted by the second it happens, and hours later the information may already be obsolete, hence the great importance of Twitter, a true thermometer of the world today.

The notes and the figures certify the success of social networks. In 2005 a Forrester Research report announced that Internet users were increasingly visiting a blog or social network, this indicates that there are thousands of people who already reject traditional media and look for digital media to maintain their interests to the day.

The big brands prefer to have a well positioned presence in social networks because they are the letter of presentation and makes advertising easier, with a greater reach.

Advertising on social networks today is the best hook for a brand, because it can be easier to reach the desired target, you can filter the tastes of people, ages and more. This segmentation is unique to every brand and it can only be achieved through social networks.

At YAGU Group we focus on your advertising through social networks to exceed expectations, changing the way we communicate and sell a product, so that the public feels identified with the brand and gets hooked with its history.

Being part of the digital world will lead your brand to a bigger, better audience.

Workplace, known as Facebook at Work, wants to enter your space, the place where you most hate and love at the same time, the office.

Workplace, will focus on connecting with office colleagues. The great advantage is that they aim to make working as addictive as updating your profile’s status.

Its business model will be based on a small fee per user. Facebook aims to diversify its income and not rely solely on advertising as its main support.

One of their secrets to enter the competitive world of office applications will be integrations. Another commitment of Facebook is that they will not charge for the user who does not use it. Their goal is that people use it in all levels of the company, from the secretaries to the executives.

Among the advantages with regard to competitors, in addition to their deep knowledge of social networks, is the fact that they already have the profiles equal to those already known from the original Facebook version, events, videos, their messaging and, above all, audio calls and videoconferencing. That is, an unusual familiarity that makes the learning curve almost non-existent.

According to Facebook, more than 1,000 organizations around the world are using Workplace, with countries like India, the United States, Norway, the United Kingdom and France, as the main users.

With the release to the public, the company expects features such as chat, Facebook Live and Groups to become indispensable to businesses, rather than job distractions. In addition, Workplace accounts work completely separate from conventional Facebook accounts.

Workplace has several extra features, such as internal data analytics and better telecommunication integration to make it more productive in the office. There’s also a separate app, Work Chat, for iOS and Android, so employees can keep in touch while they’re away from the office.

The new companies that acquire the service receive a free 3-month trial when they register but after that time, Workplace has a monthly fee structure of three dollars per user, for companies with less than 1,000 active users or up to a dollar a month for companies with more than 10,000 users. For non-profit organizations and educational institutions the service is free.

Facebook assumes its biggest challenge is to enter the work world and help people to integrate and create a good addiction during office hours. The most popular social network continues to be a pioneer in innovation and is far from being forgotten.

Facebook remains the most influential social network in the last few years. Preferred by its audience and the most competitive in the market, not only because of its powerful reach in terms of business, but its constant innovation and its positive changing platform.

The social network launched the application called ‘LifeStage‘, apparently intended exclusively for adolescents under 21 years.

Lifestage allows people to build a profile made up entirely of “video fields”. It allows them show others who they are and to find out more about the people in their school community as well as meet new people,” says Facebook in the description of the app.

The application allows you to share a livelier bio than on your Facebook profile. It invites adolescents to post videos answering questions about themselves: what you like, what you don’t like, how to dance, what is their day to day life, and their friends.

What the founding geniuses of this renowned social network wanted to do is turn an ordinary biography of Facebook into a collection of super fun and animated videos for high schoolers to get to mingle.

Young people who choose to use this app, can link to their schools network and may interact with old and new friends. The originality of this new application is that users must be students and it’s mandatory to enroll with their high school’s network.

The app is looking for younger people to be the “protagonist” of their own story.

What about older users who choose to download the LifeStage? Simple, users who exceed the established age may not see another profile that is not their own.

This new app is only available for iOS in the US and Canada, so far.
